Fanatic Fundamentalists

The thesis of the essays in this section is that in three of the largest religious groups in the world that interact with each other, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, there is a large and growing group of reactionary fundamentalists in each that in its most extreme form is irrational, destabilizing and dangerous.  Each of them allies religion with political power to achieve its objectives.  Moreover, each has elements that betray what is highest and best in those religions by resorting to force and terror as the means to achieve what it perceives as worthy ends.

These articles explore the link between fundamentalist religion and terror.
